We once met for the first time in Mexico Tulum and now we were travelling together again to spend some great escape time in Mexico on the Riviera Maya.
A few months before heading home from Zakynthos we were sitting on a bench outside the airport right before we got into the plane home and decided we need to go somewhere far away, somewhere we have not been together, in November, where the sun is shining and the breeze of the sea will make us forget about the upcoming winter and covid season. Herbie just browsed the internet on his phone to see up some possible destinations. And just like this, between one zip of a dieat coke and another, has asked me what about Mexcio. In a glimpse flights have been booked and just like this again, we headed up to Mexico in early November 2021.
The Rivera Maya of cause has a lot more to offer than only one of the best courses „il Camaleon“ – its all about the beach and the mexican sun. Cristal clear water awaits you. Warm and soft in embrace you when diving into the blue.
On top of it we had the chance to see a PGA tournament and meet Sepp Straka, who is the son of one of Herbie´s golf buddies in Vienna. Happy that Sepp had time for us twice to sit down and let us know what is the daily life on tour. Not to mention that only 6 months later he became Austria´s first PGA champion.
OMG – it was such a dream holiday. Not only enjoying the sun and the caribean flair in one of the best spots ever, no on top of it I could see all the players live. I loved to watch them and even spent hours on the course just following them and watch how they hit their best shots. If you have ever time to watch a PGA tournament, do it. Its crazy positive energy there.
