Herbie and me were heading from the south of Styria to direction Mondsee.
Passing some of the most known places in this area as Hallstatt and Bad Ischl, we found our destination at Seehof, at the lake Mondsee, where we spent the next days in sportive excitement.
We had a terrific encounter with one of the leading golf courses in Austria: GC Mondsee, where we could have not been more lucky with the sunshine and warm air which seemed like just waiting for us to tee off.
The day before we head up the Schafberg, which was pretty exhausting and seemed like never ending hours of a fitness workout. Never underestimate a mountain, whether you climb or you descend it. I can tell you, if so you have done the climbing up to almost to the top, you will feel your legs for some days pretty every minute.

The next day we played 9 holes at another golf course nearby but not even less interesting, called Drachenwand.
What to take with you from those great places, is the breathtaking scenery as a reminder how beautifully nature can grow and bloom. You not only see nature, you got to feel it there. Green, lush and most beautiful countryside here around Mondsee, this part of my home country is one of the most idyllic regions in Austria.
These days have been a fantastic trip. Herbie selected for us a superb combination of travel, sports and leisure time, a unbelievable thrilling package of excitement and fun. What a great way to start the summer. 🙂
