Have I told you that I always wanted to visit MARRAKECH again? I once was there in my teenager years but never then afterwards. Marrakech is a stunning beautiful place with quite a lot of history for an Arabic City not too economically developed. And it also has – of cause between the other hip and fancy related and belated Hotels situated in the old Medina of the town – the Fairmont Royal Palm, with one of my most liked Golf Courses so far. It’s new and it is fun. A bit up and down landscape wise, but every holes is very different and gives you a lot to challenge. Retrospectively I learned so much during this week, my golf swing became more stable – for a while at least.

We had a terrific time at the Fairmont Royal Palm, also I have chosen it as our place to stay. Btw we had a major suite on ground floor, could not remember when I had the last time a 250m2 suite. Cheeky we were. Noooooo 😉

Another day brought us to Assoufid Golf Course in the middle of nowhere. Yes exactly we played a dessert course. That one was quite hard for me. A lot of space and a lot of wind. Never will forget the orange trees at the Club House there.

The third course we were happily to play was the most terrific in one way, cause it is one of the most ancient courses, has a absolutely stunning restaurant and the best golf Boutique ever. I never saw so many good stuff at one shop, and then unexpectedly in Marrakech. So here some epic pictures from the Royal Palm Golf Club.

MARRAKECH showed me a lot of things. Beside we took an adventurous ride on squads to a Berber town, it gave me after a week a feeling of: I can play golf. It was one of my major experiences. Even though the Royal Palm GC course was too hard for me and I went very frustrated, Herbert had one of his best rounds in short play and looking back I believe it was his treat to become a even more profound player. So, yes, we had a terrific week in the city of Aladin.
